Wimbledon Teaching Assistant Needed for September 2025

Are you an enthusiastic and compassionate individual looking to make a difference in the classroom? A welcoming primary school in Wimbledon is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025.

This varied and rewarding role will involve supporting the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities, while also providing dedicated one-to-one support to pupils with additional learning needs.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Supporting the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom activities
• Offering one-to-one support for pupils with special educational needs (SEN)
• Helping to create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment
• Assisting with behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
• Working closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to implement tailored support plans
• Encouraging positive engagement and helping all pupils reach their potential

Who We’re Looking For:

• Someone patient, proactive, and genuinely passionate about working with children
• Previous experience in a school or similar setting is highly desirable
• A good communicator who can build strong relationships with pupils and staff
• Experience or interest in SEN support (training provided where needed)
• Available from September

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
