Teaching Assistant

Location: Waterlooville, Hampshire
Hours: Full-time, Term Time Only

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive school community in Waterlooville.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children achieve their full potential. Working closely with teachers and other support staff, you will play a key role in creating a positive learning environment where every pupil feels valued, supported, and encouraged to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils in the classroom, individually and in small groups.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and help pupils develop confidence and independence.
  • Support children with a range of learning needs, adapting your approach where necessary.
  • Help prepare classroom resources and maintain an organised learning environment.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting (desirable but not essential).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, positive, and flexible approach.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
