Job Title: Teaching Assistants (SEN / Sports Focus)
Location: Tavistock
Contract: Permanent Roles | Full-Time & Part-Time (Mornings or Afternoons Available)
Start Date: As Soon As Possible

We are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants for permanent positions within schools in the Tavistock area. These roles range from full-time positions to part-time opportunities, including morning-only or afternoon-only hours.

Schools are seeking enthusiastic and committed individuals who either have SEN experience or a strong passion for sports and physical education, to support pupils both in the classroom and through wider school activities.

The Role:

• Supporting pupils within the classroom environment

• Working one-to-one or with small groups, including pupils with SEN

• Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and delivery

• Encouraging engagement, confidence, and positive behaviour

• Supporting physical education, outdoor learning, or sports activities (where relevant)

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and/or

• A strong interest or background in sports, coaching, or physical activity

• Experience working with children in a school or similar setting

• A patient, proactive, and adaptable approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
