Welsh-Speaking Teaching Assistant – Swansea & Carmarthenshire

Pay: £14.25 per hour
⏰ Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (No weekends!)

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistants to support a range of Welsh-medium schools across Swansea and Carmarthenshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience, support pupils in their learning journey, and work in supportive, community-focused schools.

‍ The Role:

Supporting teachers in Welsh-medium primary and secondary schools
Assisting pupils with learning activities and classroom tasks
Providing 1:1 and small group support where required
Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
Supporting pupils with ALN/SEN needs where applicable

✅ Requirements:

Fluency in Welsh (spoken and written) ➡️
Previous experience working with children or young people (school-based or similar)
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential)
Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) or willing to register
Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, Supporting Teaching & Learning, or similar)
A positive, proactive, and flexible attitude

Desirable:

Experience working in ALN/SEN settings
Classroom or childcare experience in a Welsh-speaking environment
