Supply Teaching Assistant
Location: Stanley and surrounding areas
Start: Ongoing
Hours: Full-time and Part-time opportunities available
Minimum availability: 2 days per week
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a number of primary schools in and around the Stanley area and are seeking to recruit qualified Supply Teaching Assistants to support pupils across Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
This role offers excellent flexibility, with opportunities for full-time supply for adaptable candidates, alongside part-time work to suit individual availability. Access to your own vehicle is desirable to support travel between a range of local schools.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils’ learning on a 1:1, small group or whole-class basis
- Assist class teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities
- Provide support for pupils with SEN or additional needs where required
- Help maintain a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment
- Support positive behaviour management in line with school policies
- Assist with classroom preparation and general classroom support
- Adapt confidently to different schools, year groups and classroom settings
Key Requirements
- A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (essential)
- Previous experience working with children in a school or education setting
- Confidence supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2
- Availability to work a minimum of 2 days per week
- A caring, patient and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- Access to your own vehicle (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
