Teaching Assistant (Supply) – Full Time
Location: Schools across Durham
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Supply (Full-Time Availability Preferred)
Qualification Required: Level 3 Teaching Assistant (or equivalent)
About the Role
We are currently seeking Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistants to work on a supply basis across a range of primary schools in the Durham area. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced and motivated TAs who are looking for full-time supply work, flexibility, and the chance to gain experience across a variety of educational settings.
Roles may be short-term, long-term, or ongoing, depending on school needs and availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils individually or in small groups to support learning and engagement
- Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management
- Supporting students with SEND, SEMH, or additional learning needs (where required)
- Creating a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
- Helping pupils develop academically, socially, and emotionally
- Following school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times
Requirements
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Previous experience working in a school setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A flexible, proactive, and positive approach
- Ability to adapt to different school environments and age groups
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
