Teaching Assistant
Job description
Are you experienced in the field of 1:1 SEN Support and looking for a new opportunity? We are looking for a Primary Support Assistant to work on a full-time basis supporting a pupil with ASC on a 1:1 basis in a mainstream KS2 classroom environment. The school is based in St Ives, Cambridgeshire.

Ideal applicants are those with:
- Extensive experience supporting those with SEN – Including ASC, SEMH, MLD
- Safeguarding Training
- A drive to help others
- Experience working within a school environment supporting KS1/KS2 pupils
- Teaching Assistant Experience – Primary/Secondary
The position is full-time within school hours, and is scheduled to last until Summer. In your role as a 1:1 TA, you will be expected to motivate, encourage and monitor the pupil as they progress with the work set by the class teacher.
Other duties will include general classroom TA activities and overall participation in activities throughout the day. Your ability to provide constructive and relevant feedback on the pupil will be essential in your role within the school, and as a result we are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting SEN pupils in order to make a positive impact on their educational progression.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
