SEMH Teaching Assistant – Full Time
Summer Term Start with Potential for September
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a dedicated and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to work full time within a welcoming primary school setting from the Summer Term, with the potential for the role to continue into September.
This rewarding opportunity will involve supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis who present with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping pupils access learning, regulate emotions, and build positive relationships within the classroom environment.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working with children with SEMH needs
- Is confident supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis within a primary school setting
- Can build strong and trusting relationships with pupils and staff
- Demonstrates patience, resilience, and a calm approach
- Is passionate about supporting children both academically and emotionally
- Has strong behaviour management and communication skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
