Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Skipton
Salary: £15 - £23 per hour
Hours: 25 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a tutor in delivering high-quality educational support to vulnerable pupils. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about education, who thrives in a supportive role, and wants to make a real difference in students' learning journeys.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist the tutor in preparing and delivering engaging lessons and activities
-
Provide two-to-one support for pupils alongside a tutor
-
Help manage learning resources and maintain an organised learning environment
-
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the tutor
-
Support students emotionally, offering encouragement and helping them to engage with the session
-
Maintain a positive, inclusive, and respectful learning atmosphere
Requirements:
-
Experience working with children or in an educational setting is essential
- Experience working with children with SEN or SEMH is preferred
-
A genuine interest in education and helping students achieve their potential
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
-
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
-
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths; further qualifications are a plus

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
