Primary Literacy Intervention Teaching Assistant – Salford (M6)
Teaching Personnel are seeking a Teaching Assistant to perform Literacy interventions throughout a Salford-based primary school. Senior leadership of this school require a committed TA with experience in primary education to join their effort to boost school-wide literacy attainment. This multi-faceted role would involve working in the primary school full-time, committing oneself to the development of the school community’s development in English.
Responsibilities:
- Providing small-group interventions for lower-ability pupils,
- Running homework groups to support pupils in their Literacy,
- Providing one-to-one tuition with lower-ability pupils,
- Providing general support in-class, supporting a class teacher during Literacy/English topics that have been historically difficult for children to comprehend,
- Producing resources to support children in the phonics, grammar, reading and writing,
- Running ‘reading time’ sessions with pupils and tracking their progress.
The successful Teaching Assistant will be working with multiple classes, abilities and ages. This provides extensive opportunities to develop knowledge and understanding of a large cohort of pupils, providing invaluable experience.
Summary:
- £77+ per day through PAYE (no umbrella company or agency fees) paid weekly,
- Primary School located in Salford (M6), accessible via public transport or car (on-site parking),
- Full-time role Monday-Friday, paid on a Timesheet basis through Teaching Personnel,
- Opportunity to work with multiple year groups,
- ASAP start following registration with Teaching Personnel,
- English graduates encouraged to apply.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
