Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Rye, East Sussex
Pay Rate: £110 – £120 per day
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time (Flexible)
Job Description:
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive Secondary School in Rye. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people’s learning, wellbeing, and development in a secondary school environment.
You will work closely with teaching staff to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide classroom support on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
-
Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom preparation
-
Support students with SEN or additional learning needs
-
Encourage positive behaviour and student engagement
-
Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Requirements:
-
Experience working with children or young people (preferred)
-
A patient, proactive, and positive approach
-
Strong communication and teamwork skills
-
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
