Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a primary Teaching Assistant to work in our client school. This is a full time role starting in January 2019.
The school is an SEN primary school, catering for primary aged pupils with behaviour needs. This can include Autism, ADHD and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). The schools runs similarly to a mainstream primary school, with very small class sizes of around 6-8 pupils.
You will be working as a Teaching Assistant within the classroom. You will work both on a 1-1 basis with pupils and with small groups. Due to the nature of the pupils, they can be challenging. The successful candidate must be resilient and confident supporting behaviour.
To be successful in this role you should have good behaviour management , be resilient and be enthusiastic. Experience within a primary school setting is desirable but not required. The school is a 'Team Teach' School - if you are not already Team Teach trained this is something Teaching Personnel can support you with.
