Teaching Personnel are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to work at one of our pupil referral units sites. This particular setting supports secondary-aged pupils who present with quieter, more internalised needs, including:

  • ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition)
  • BSNA / EBSA (Emotionally Based School Non-Attendance / Avoidance)
  • Anxiety-related needs

Classes are small, with up to 10 pupils, supported by one teacher and one Teaching Assistant.

Pupils have a wide range of abilities across the curriculum, so strong academic confidence is essential.

A good knowledge of Maths and English is required, with Science knowledge highly desirable, in order to support pupils working towards GCSE qualifications.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
