Job description

Make an Impact Where It Matters Most — Every Single Day

Some of the most influential moments in a young person’s journey happen in the classroom — a few words of encouragement, a steady presence, or someone who simply believes in them when it counts.

We’re seeking enthusiastic, adaptable individuals to join schools across Greater Norwich as Unqualified Teaching Assistants. This is a rewarding, fast-paced role where you’ll play a vital part in helping pupils grow in confidence, develop key skills, and stay fully engaged in their learning.

If you’re patient, reliable, and driven by helping others succeed, this could be a great fit for you.

The Role

You’ll work closely with pupils who may have a variety of academic, social, or behavioural needs, ensuring they feel supported, included, and ready to learn.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting pupils with classroom learning and engagement
  • Assisting with literacy and numeracy activities
  • Promoting positive behaviour through consistency and clear expectations
  • Helping to create a structured, safe, and welcoming classroom environment
  • Collaborating with teachers and wider school staff

This is a practical, rewarding role where you’ll see the real-world impact of your support every day.

Who We’re Looking For

No formal qualifications are required — your attitude and approach are what matter most.

We’re looking for people who are:

  • Calm, confident, and reliable
  • Positive role models for young people
  • Flexible and comfortable working across different school settings
  • Strong communicators who work well within a team

Experience in education, care, sports coaching, or youth work can be helpful, but it’s not essential — a willingness to learn is just as valuable.

What You’ll Receive

  • Access to CPD training and ongoing professional development
  • Guaranteed Work Scheme for eligible applicants (paid even when work isn’t available that day)
  • Competitive weekly pay, with additional pay for longer travel or extended hours
  • Simple, user-friendly online systems
  • Continued support from a dedicated consultant

Essential Requirement

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are required, as travel between schools may be needed at short notice.

Ready to Get Started?

If you’re ready to support young people and develop valuable classroom experience along the way, we’d love to hear from you.

Apply today and take the first step toward making a real difference.
