Help Shape Young Lives — Start in the Classroom

The impact of a supportive adult in a young person’s life can be truly lasting. Whether it’s offering encouragement, building trust, or simply showing up consistently, the role you play in a classroom can influence confidence, learning, and future success.

We’re currently looking for enthusiastic and adaptable individuals to join schools across Greater Norwich as Unqualified Teaching Assistants. This is a hands-on, varied role where you’ll support students day-to-day and contribute to a positive and engaging learning environment.

If you’re someone who enjoys helping others, brings patience and reliability, and wants to be part of something meaningful, this opportunity could be an excellent way to begin or develop your career in education.

What You’ll Be Doing

Working alongside teachers and wider school staff, you’ll support pupils with a range of needs — academic, social, and behavioural — helping to ensure every child has the chance to succeed.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting students with classroom activities and lesson tasks
  • Supporting the development of literacy and numeracy skills
  • Encouraging positive behaviour through a calm and consistent approach
  • Helping maintain a safe, organised, and welcoming classroom
  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff to support student progress

Every day brings something different, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety and wants to make a genuine contribution.

About You

We’re looking for people who are:

  • Reliable, calm under pressure, and confident in their approach
  • Positive role models who can inspire and support young people
  • Flexible and comfortable working across different school settings
  • Strong communicators who work well within a team

Experience in areas such as education, care, coaching, or youth work is beneficial, but not essential. A genuine interest in supporting young people is key.

What You Can Expect

In return, you’ll benefit from:

  • Ongoing CPD training and opportunities for professional development
  • Competitive weekly pay, including enhanced rates for travel and additional hours
  • Easy-to-use online systems for managing bookings and timesheets
  • Continued guidance and support from your own dedicated consultant

Essential Requirement

  • You must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle, as occasional travel between schools may be required at short notice
