Trainee Teaching Assistant Opportunity – Begin Your Career in Education!

Location: Newport
Contract: Full-Time (Monday – Friday)
Start Date: May 2026
Pay: £92.63 per day

About the Role
As a Trainee Teaching Assistant, you’ll support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and assist with the day-to-day care and development of children across schools and nurseries. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience while building a rewarding career in education.

Key Responsibilities
• Supporting the day-to-day care and learning of children
• Assisting with planned activities that promote development
• Ensuring a safe and positive environment at all times
• Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents


Requirements
• Experience in childcare or a nursery setting is desirable but not essential
• A patient, friendly, and positive attitude
• Relevant childcare qualifications (preferred but not required)
• Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce) on the Update Service
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
• Right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
