Teaching Assistant – Creative KS1 Support
Location: Newcastle
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £85 – £100 per day (depending on experience, paid weekly)
Contract: Part-time (Monday – Wednesday)
Teaching Personnel are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Newcastle on a part-time basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with KS1 pupils, leading small intervention groups and providing some 1:1 support.
The school is looking for someone who can engage pupils through creative approaches, helping them stay focused and regulated in their learning. This position is ideal for an individual who is passionate about making a positive impact and is committed to a long-term role, with the potential to become permanent.
The Role:
- Support KS1 pupils in small intervention groups and 1:1 sessions
- Use creative strategies to engage and motivate learners
- Assist with academic, social and emotional development
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher and wider school team
- Promote positive behaviour and a nurturing learning environment
Requirements:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) – desirable
- Significant experience in a primary school setting
- Ability to use initiative and adapt to pupil needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to a long-term role with potential for permanency

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
