Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Morecambe from September. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting children's learning and development within a positive and inclusive school environment.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils across the primary age range. You will help create an engaging learning environment, assist with classroom activities, and provide targeted support to pupils who require additional assistance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting teaching and learning activities in the classroom
- Working with small groups and individual pupils
- Assisting with literacy, numeracy, and other curriculum-based activities
- Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
- Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
- Supporting pupils with additional needs where required
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working with children, ideally in a school setting
- Is patient, caring, and committed to helping children achieve their potential
- Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Can work effectively as part of a team
- Has a proactive and positive attitude towards learning and development

Requirements
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
- Right to work in the UK
- Satisfactory references covering the last two years
