Are you passionate about supporting young people in their learning and keen to develop your experience within a secondary school environment? Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work across Key Stages 3–5 in one of our partner secondary schools in the Liverpool area.

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students of all abilities, helping them to access learning, stay engaged, and reach their full potential. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing general classroom support across KS3–KS5
• Working with students of mixed abilities, including high achievers and those who require additional help
• Offering 1:1 or small group support where required
• Supporting the class teacher with behaviour management and lesson delivery
• Assisting in creating a positive, inclusive and well‑managed learning environment

What We’re Looking For

• Confidence working with students aged 11–18
• An understanding of classroom expectations, positive behaviour strategies, and how to support teaching staff
• A proactive, supportive attitude and strong communication skills
• Experience working 1:1 with students with SEN is desirable
