Teaching Assistant – Temporary Autumn Term Role
We are recruiting a motivated and caring Teaching Assistant to support a mainstream primary school in Leyland on a temporary basis for the Autumn Term, with a minimum commitment of one full term.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving school community and contribute to the success and wellbeing of pupils across the primary phase.
Key Responsibilities
- Support children within classroom lessons and learning activities.
- Deliver focused intervention sessions and small group work.
- Provide additional support to pupils who require extra assistance.
- Assist teachers in maintaining an engaging learning environment.
- Promote positive behaviour and pupil wellbeing.
- Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or similar role.
- Understanding of the primary curriculum is desirable.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
