Teaching Assistant (1-1 Support)
Location: Gosport, Hampshire

Salary:  £13.75 per hour 

Contract Type: Full-Time, Term Time Only

Start Date: As soon as possible

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 2 Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant school in Gosport. This rewarding role will involve providing 1-1 support to a Year 2 pupil, assisting with their educational and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide focused 1-1 support to a Year 2 pupil, helping them engage with their learning.

• Support the pupil in overcoming any barriers to learning and emotional needs.

• Work closely with the class teacher to implement tailored learning plans.

• Assist in preparing learning materials and resources for the pupil.

• Monitor progress and provide feedback to the class teacher.

• Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.

• Ensure the pupil’s well-being is supported both academically and emotionally.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting.

• A patient, empathetic, and caring approach to supporting pupils.

• A strong understanding of the Year 2 curriculum is desirable.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work as part of a team and build positive relationships with staff, students, and parents.
