Teaching Assistant (1-1 Support)
Location: Gosport, Hampshire
Salary: £13.75 per hour
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term Time Only
Start Date: As soon as possible
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 2 Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant school in Gosport. This rewarding role will involve providing 1-1 support to a Year 2 pupil, assisting with their educational and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide focused 1-1 support to a Year 2 pupil, helping them engage with their learning.

Support the pupil in overcoming any barriers to learning and emotional needs.

Work closely with the class teacher to implement tailored learning plans.

Assist in preparing learning materials and resources for the pupil.
-
Monitor progress and provide feedback to the class teacher.
-
Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.
-
Ensure the pupil’s well-being is supported both academically and emotionally.
Requirements:
-
Previous experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting.
-
A patient, empathetic, and caring approach to supporting pupils.
-
A strong understanding of the Year 2 curriculum is desirable.
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Ability to work as part of a team and build positive relationships with staff, students, and parents.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
