Teaching Assistant
Location - Fareham
Contract - Part Time and Full Time
Start date - January 2026
We’re seeking a kind, energetic and proactive Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in West End. If you’re passionate about helping children learn, grow and flourish, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.
What you’ll bring to the role
- Experience working with children in a primary school or similar educational setting
- A patient, positive and understanding approach to learning and behaviour
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build excellent relationships with pupils and colleagues
- Flexibility to support a variety of learning needs and classroom activities
- Reliability, enthusiasm and a “can-do” attitude
- A relevant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning) is beneficial but not essential
What you’ll be doing
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support, including for pupils with additional or special educational needs
- Assisting the class teacher with engaging, inclusive lesson delivery
- Preparing classroom resources and contributing to a welcoming, stimulating learning environment
- Promoting positive behaviour, wellbeing and independence
- Working closely with staff to ensure a safe, caring and inspiring school experience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
