Teaching Support Assistant – Full Time (Start ASAP)

Location: North London, Edmonton
Contract: Temp to Permanent, term time only (32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks) 
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £95 - £130 Per day PAYE (Depending on Experience)
Closing Date: 15th April 2026
Interviews: Week beginning 20th April 2026

Teaching Personnel is recruiting a creative, motivated, and passionate Teaching Support Assistant to join a dynamic primary school in North London. This is an opportunity to join a team committed to excellence, professional development, and improving outcomes for all children, particularly those facing barriers to success.

About the Role

This full‑time position involves supporting teaching and learning across the school, working closely with class teachers and contributing to a positive and purposeful learning environment. You will play a key role in helping pupils access the curriculum, develop their skills, and build confidence.

Daily responsibilities include:

  • Supporting pupils in class, in small groups, or one‑to‑one
  • Assisting with lesson delivery and preparation
  • Promoting positive behaviour and modelling expectations
  • Helping create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning atmosphere
  • Supporting the wider school community and contributing to school life

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
