HAVE YOU GOT RECENT, RELEVANT EXPERIENCE AS A TEACHING ASSISTANT OR SIMILAR ROLE?
Teaching Personnel are in close collaboration with a thriving secondary school within Coventry, to appoint an enthusiastic and conscientious teaching assistant to work on a full time basis.
Important Details:
Hours: Full Time, term-time only (8:30-15:15 Mon-Fri)
Rate of Pay: £90-100 per day (dependent upon experiences and qualifications)
Location: CV6, Coventry
Start Date: ASAP
Teaching assistants play a vital role within the school environment, supporting students with special educational needs on a 1:1 and small group basis, engaging with pupils who may be disconnected from main class activities and also providing an all-round general support for the teaching staff within the school.
Ideal Person Specification:
- Holds GCSEs in English & Maths (essential)
- NVQ or equivalent teaching assistant qualifications (desired but not essential)
- Bachelors degree in education, childcare etc (desired but not essential)
- Previous experience within a teaching assistant or similar role
- Experienced supporting children and young people with special educational needs
- Confident and able to use own initiative
Job Roles/Responsibilities:
- Support students learning by providing specialist assistance, ensuring they understand concepts and lessons
- Follow guidance from the main class teacher whilst also using your own initiative where necessary
- Provide active support for the class teacher with students work and also with arranging resources for lessons
- Work with students on a 1:1 and small group basis, providing focused interventions to support with their learning and progression
- Provide feedback to the class teacher through regular communications- working as part of a team is essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
