Teaching Assistant – Secondary School (Full Time, Temporary Contract)
Location: Chorley
Contract: Full Time, Temporary (from 2nd February)
Start Date: 2nd February
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
A welcoming and supportive secondary school in Chorley is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team on a temporary basis starting from 2nd February.
About the Role
In this varied and rewarding role, you will:
- Support teaching and learning across KS3 and KS4.
- Provide 1:1 and small‑group interventions for pupils who may need additional support.
- Assist with lesson preparation, classroom management, and behaviour support.
- Help foster a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff to support pupils’ academic and personal development.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Is passionate about helping young people succeed.
- Builds strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Is patient, proactive and able to adapt to changing classroom needs.
- Ideally has experience in a school setting or holds a Level 2/3 TA qualification (desirable, not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
