SEN Teaching Assistant (Hertfordshire Focus)
Calling Passionate Individuals: SEN Teaching Assistants Needed in Hertfordshire!
Are you driven by a passion for supporting children? Our partnership SEN (Special Educational Needs) schools in Hertfordshire are urgently seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants (TAs) to provide essential support.
We need extra staff to help children succeed in both 1:1 and small group settings.
No Direct School Experience? No Problem!
We are looking for transferable skills and commitment. Do you have experience in any of the following fields?

Care/Support Work (e.g., residential care, healthcare)
-
Emergency Services (e.g., Ambulance, Police Force, Military)
-
Coaching/Mentoring (e.g., Sports Coach, Youth Work)
EXPERIENCE WITHIN A SCHOOL IS NOT NECESSARY AS LONG AS YOU HAVE THE PASSION AND COMMITMENT TO WORK WITH CHILDREN!
About the Role: The Support You’ll Provide

Sociable Hours, NO WEEKENDS: Typically 8:30 am – 3:30 pm (hours may vary slightly).

Provide vital one-on-one and group support to students with SEN.

Assist with classroom activities and help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.

Collaborate effectively with teachers and therapists.
-
Be a constant source of motivation and encouragement for your students.

Excellent opportunity for a temp-to-perm transition.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
✅ Essential Requirements (MUST HAVE)

Passionate and committed to working with children.
-
Proactive and able to use your own initiative to get involved.
⭐ Highly Desirable (Not Essential)
-
Previous experience working with SEN children.

Hold a valid DBS registered with the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
