Teaching Personnel are currently working with a Primary School in Burgess Hill that are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a child in their Year 3 class that requires close support as they have mild Learning Difficulties and challenging behaviours. As a Teaching Assistant you will need to help the class teacher manage their behaviour and use your initiative to help best support them. You will need to be resilient and be able to quickly create a rapport with the child.

This will be a very rewarding role for the right person. The role is to start ASAP until the end of the academic year, on a full time basis.

What the school are looking for in their Learning Support Assistants:

  • Experience supporting children within a Nursery or School setting.
  • Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs is very desirable.
  • Confident working 1:1 and within small groups of children
  • Be able to assist the class teacher with classroom preparation

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
