Teaching Assistant – Bournemouth
Start Date: April 2026
Contract: Full-time

The school is seeking a motivated and compassionate Teaching Assistant who is keen to make a meaningful difference to students’ day-to-day learning and wellbeing.
About the Role:
The Teaching Assistant will work closely with teaching staff to support students throughout the school day. This will include providing in-class support, delivering targeted interventions, and offering additional guidance to pupils who require extra help to stay engaged and make progress.
Key responsibilities include:

Supporting learning across KS3 and KS4 lessons
-
Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning
-
Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in the classroom
-
Assisting students with additional needs to access the curriculum
-
Supporting the wider pastoral and academic aims of the school
The School Is Looking For Someone Who:
-
Has experience working with children or young people (secondary school experience desirable)
-
Is calm, adaptable, and confident working in a classroom environment
-
Builds positive relationships with students and staff
-
Is committed to inclusion, safeguarding, and student development
-
Has an interest in supporting students with SEN or additional needs (advantageous but not essential)
