Teaching Assistant Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic, and committed Teaching Assistant to support teachers and pupils across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4). As a Secondary School Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting learning, behaviour, and pupil wellbeing in the classroom.
Role Responsibilities – Teaching Assistant:

Support teachers in the classroom across a range of subjects

Work with individual pupils and small groups to support learning and progress

Provide targeted support for pupils with SEN, SEMH, or additional learning needs

Assist with lesson delivery and classroom activities

Promote positive behaviour and engagement in lessons

Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Person Specification – Teaching Assistant Jobs:

Experience working in schools is highly desirable

Experience working with children or young people in any setting

A degree in Psychology (or a related subject) is advantageous

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

A patient, proactive, and supportive approach

Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
