Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) – SEMH Provision
Location: Basingstoke
Hours: Full-time
Pay: £13.75 per hour
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) provision in Basingstoke.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people who may present with a range of social, emotional and behavioural needs. You will play a vital role in helping students engage with learning, develop positive relationships, and build confidence both inside and outside the classroom.
The Role:

Supporting students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
-
Assisting with learning activities and behaviour regulation strategies
-
Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils
-
Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff to support individual needs
-
Promoting a safe, structured, and nurturing environment
About You:
-
SEN or SEMH experience is helpful but not essential
-
A calm, patient, and resilient approach
-
Strong communication and teamwork skills
-
A genuine interest in supporting young people with additional needs
-
Relevant experience in education, care, youth work, or similar settings is advantageous

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
