Primary School Teacher

Hours – Full Time

Pay Per Day- £172.98

Job Role – KS2 Class Teacher

Start Date – January 2026

End Date – July 2026

A Primary School based in the centre of Cardiff are seeking to recruit a Primary School Teacher to work within KS2 starting from January 2026. The contract will be until July 2026 with the potential to extend into the new academic year. We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic teacher, who will work collaboratively with teachers and teaching assistants in the school to keep a positive and welcoming school environment. The ideal teacher must be committed to the role, and plan and deliver lessons that are in line with the school’s curriculum and are engaging for the pupils.

About the school:

The school has close proximity to the inner city of Cardiff and celebrates its diverse nature and community. Many pupils in the school have English as an Additional Language (EAL), therefore experience is required and adaptability to provide extra support. The school’s mission is to deliver a fun learning environment and deliver engaging lessons to provide an excellent experience for the children inside and outside the classroom. The school is happy for you to bring your own techniques to the role, and you will be joining a supportive team of teachers and teaching assistants.

Successful Teacher Criteria:

  • Enthusiastic and confident when leading the class.
  • Ability to create and maintain relationships with children, parents, and staff at the school.
  • Excellent communication skills and good behaviour management in the class.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team environment.

Requirement Criteria:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Enhanced DBS Child Only Certificate  
  • EWC registration – mandatory requirement in Wales
  • Experience working within KS2 (desirable)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
