Science Teacher – Secondary School, Bridgend

Location: Bridgend
Start Date: September 2026
Contract Type: Full-Time

Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Bridgend from September 2026. This is a full-time position with the opportunity to become a permanent member of staff for the right candidate.

The school is currently on a significant improvement journey. Following their most recent Estyn inspection and being placed in a category, they are seeking an ambitious, reflective teacher to join their committed staff team and help shape what comes next for their learners. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful, sustained change - your expertise, energy and ideas will directly shape the experience and outcomes of the learners.

The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop their knowledge, curiosity, and confidence in the subject. The school is committed to providing a supportive learning environment where both staff and students can thrive.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Have experience teaching Science within a secondary school setting.

  • Be able to teach Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics to GCSE level.

  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills.

  • Have a passion for inspiring young people and raising attainment.

  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
