Teacher of PE – Part-Time, Fixed Term – Basingstoke (February 2026 Start)

Teaching Personnel are seeking a passionate and motivated Teacher of PE to join a highly successful and forward-thinking secondary school in Basingstoke from February 2026. This part-time role (ideally 3 days per week) is a fixed-term position for up to 12 months, covering maternity leave, and is an exciting opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to make a meaningful impact.

You will be joining a thriving PE department that offers a wide range of sports across curricular and extracurricular activities, including clubs in netball, girls’ football, and more. The school boasts excellent facilities, including all-weather pitches, a multi-court sports hall, netball/tennis courts, and a modern gymnasium, providing a professional and inspiring environment for both staff and students.


The Role:

  • Part-time Teacher of PE, starting February 2026
  • Teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Planning, delivering, and assessing high-quality PE lessons
  • Contributing to extracurricular sports activities and school events
  • Working collaboratively within a motivated PE team
  • Supporting the department in adapting to innovative teaching approaches and school initiatives

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT)
  • Strong subject knowledge and excellent teaching skills in PE
  • Experience delivering netball or girls’ football is advantageous
  • Ability to engage and build positive relationships with students
  • Willingness to participate in extracurricular activities and contribute to the school community
  • Collaborative, flexible, and enthusiastic about professional development
