PE Teacher – Farnborough (April 2026 Start)
Full-Time | Experienced Teacher | Strong Behaviour Management
Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a well-established secondary school in Farnborough to recruit an experienced Teacher of Physical Education for a full-time position starting April 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and committed PE Teacher who demonstrates outstanding behaviour management, strong subject knowledge and a passion for developing young people through sport, health and physical activity. You will be joining a supportive, forward-thinking department where collaboration, high expectations and student engagement sit at the heart of everyday practice.
The Role
As a PE Teacher, you will:
- Deliver high-quality PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, engaging students of all abilities
- Teach a broad and balanced PE curriculum, promoting fitness, teamwork, resilience and wellbeing
- Support learning within Child Development and Health & Social Care, contributing to a varied and relevant academic offer
- Maintain a positive, calm and structured learning environment through excellent behaviour management
- Encourage participation in extra-curricular sport, fitness and enrichment activities
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and work collaboratively within a strong departmental team
You’ll be part of a PE department that values both traditional and progressive teaching approaches, uses high-quality indoor and outdoor facilities, and is committed to helping pupils enjoy both competitive and recreational sport.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a PE Teacher who:
- Is a qualified and experienced teacher with strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Has excellent subject knowledge of PE at KS3 and KS4
- Can confidently teach across the full secondary age range (Years 7–11)
- Builds positive, authoritative relationships with pupils
- Is organised, professional and committed to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
- Enjoys working as part of a team-focused, ambitious department
This role is particularly well suited to teachers who enjoy driving participation, developing inclusive extra-curricular sport, and supporting pupils’ academic and personal growth beyond the classroom.
