Teacher of Physical Education – Full Time
Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a high-performing and inclusive secondary school to recruit an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Physical Education for a full-time position.
This is an exciting opportunity for a PE specialist who is passionate about promoting physical activity, teamwork, resilience, and lifelong wellbeing. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a broad and engaging PE curriculum that supports both physical development and personal growth.
The school is recognised for its positive behaviour culture, high expectations, and strong focus on pupil wellbeing, with Physical Education viewed as a vital part of the curriculum. The Role:
The successful Teacher of Physical Education will:

Teach Physical Education across Key Stages 3 and 4

Deliver a broad curriculum including team sports, individual activities, fitness, and health-related exercise

Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive, and well-structured lessons

Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress

Promote positive behaviour, teamwork, and sportsmanship

Support extracurricular sport and enrichment opportunities
-
Contribute to wider school duties and the life of the school

Work collaboratively within a well-resourced PE department
The Ideal Candidate:
-
A qualified PE Teacher (QTS preferred)
-
A subject specialist in Physical Education, ideally with a relevant qualification
-
Confident teaching a range of sports and physical activities
-
Passionate about student wellbeing, participation, and achievement
-
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
-
Committed to inclusive practice and high standards

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
