Full-Time | Long-Term Opportunity | KS3 and KS4

Raise Aspirations Through Mathematics

Are you a passionate Mathematics teacher who can build confidence, develop problem-solving skills and help every student recognise their potential?

Teaching Personnel is working with an ambitious and inclusive secondary school in Andover to recruit a committed Teacher of Mathematics for a full-time, long-term position.

The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4, taking responsibility for planning, marking, assessment and student progress. Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and ECTs.

The Curriculum

The Role

As a Teacher of Mathematics, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Teach GCSE Mathematics at Foundation and Higher Tier
  • Assess progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Identify misconceptions and plan targeted intervention
  • Adapt teaching for SEND and mixed-ability learners
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
  • Support students with revision and examination preparation
  • Work collaboratively with departmental colleagues
  • Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment

The Ideal Candidate

You will:

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised qualification
  • Have strong secondary Mathematics subject knowledge
  • Be confident teaching across KS3 and KS4
  • Explain mathematical concepts clearly and accessibly
  • Use assessment effectively to improve progress
  • Create a calm, inclusive and purposeful classroom
  • Build positive relationships with students and colleagues
  • Be committed to safeguarding and professional development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
