Teacher of English – Tadley

Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full time or part time / fixed term considered
Salary: MPR / UPR

The English Department

The English Faculty is a collaborative and experienced team with a shared passion for developing students’ love of language and literature. The department is committed to:

  • Delivering a broad and engaging curriculum across KS3 and KS4
  • Developing strong skills in reading, writing, analysis and communication
  • Supporting students of all abilities to achieve success in both English Language and Literature
  • Driving continued improvement in outcomes across the cohort

The department works closely together to share expertise, plan effectively and reduce workload through a collegial approach.

The Role

You will:

  • Teach English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4
  • Plan and deliver engaging, challenging and well‑structured lessons
  • Use assessment effectively to monitor and support student progress
  • Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development
  • Support wider literacy initiatives and enrichment opportunities

  • Has strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature
  • Can deliver engaging and purposeful lessons across KS3–KS4

  • Works collaboratively and contributes positively to team success
