Teaching Personnel are supporting a thriving secondary school in Farnborough to recruit a passionate and experienced Teacher of English for a full‑time, permanent position starting September 2026.

This opportunity is ideal for an English specialist with strong classroom presence, excellent behaviour management and a commitment to delivering high‑quality, engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4.


The Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to curriculum development and shared departmental planning

The Ideal Candidate

You will:

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
  • Have strong subject knowledge of English Literature and Language
  • Demonstrate excellent behaviour management and a calm, consistent approach
  • Deliver teaching that is creative, inspiring and academically rigorous
  • Show evidence of raising outcomes across mixed‑ability cohorts
  • Communicate confidently with students, colleagues and parents/carers
  • Be committed to continued professional development and reflective practice
