Are you passionate about inspiring the next generation of designers and technologists? Do you have a deep understanding of design principles, materials, and modern technology? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic team as a Design Technology Teacher at our well-established secondary school in Nottinghamshire.

Responsibilities: As our Design Technology Teacher, you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering engaging and effective design and technology lessons to students in accordance with the curriculum.
  • Inspiring and motivating students to explore various design areas, including graphics, product design, textiles, and more.
  • Nurturing students' creativity and problem-solving skills through hands-on projects and activities.
  • Providing constructive feedback and supporting individual student progress.
  • Collaborating with fellow teachers and contributing to the continuous improvement of our design and technology department.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Practical lesson experience.
  • Strong subject knowledge in design and technology, with the ability to teach multiple design disciplines.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Passion for education and a commitment to helping students succeed.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of educational trends and developments in design and technology.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
