Graphics & Materials
Secondary School | Northampton 
Full-time / Part-time | Permanent or Long-term

We are seeking a creative and motivated Teacher of Design & Technology (Graphics and Materials) to join a dynamic and well-resourced department at a secondary school in Northampton

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who is passionate about practical learning, creativity, and inspiring students to design, make, and evaluate high-quality outcomes.

The Role

  • Teach Design & Technology with a focus on Graphics and Materials at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)

  • Plan and deliver engaging, practical, and theory-based lessons

  • Support students through the full design process: research, design, manufacture, and evaluation

  • Maintain a safe, well-organised workshop environment

  • Contribute to the continued development of the DT curriculum

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it

  • Strong subject knowledge in Graphics, Resistant Materials, or related DT specialisms

  • Ability to inspire creativity and independent thinking

  • Confident classroom and workshop management skills

  • ECTs and experienced teachers are both welcome to apply
