Primary School Teacher –(KS2) 
Location: Cardiff
Pay: £172.98 per day
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Full-time

We are currently recruiting a motivated, positive and proactive KS2 Teacher to join a vibrant Primary School in central Cardiff. This full-time position begins in the new year in January 2026, and offers the opportunity to work as part of a supportive and welcoming team.


Role Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the school curriculum.

  • Monitor, assess, and support pupils’ progress and development.

  • Build strong, positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.

  • Bring creativity, organisation, and fresh teaching ideas to the classroom.


Candidate Criteria

  • Confident, enthusiastic leader in the classroom.

  • Strong behaviour management and excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships across the school community.

  • Previous experience teaching KS2 pupils (desirable but not essential).

Essential Requirements

  • Enhanced Child-Only DBS (must be completed before the start date).

  • EWC registration (mandatory in Wales).

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
