A Teacher supporting studies with mental health difficulties, plays a critical role in supporting students' emotional and psychological well-being. As well as covering the core curriculum, this role also involves helping students develop coping strategies, and providing a safe space for them to discuss their feelings and concerns.

Are you a dedicated and compassionate teacher with a passion for making a difference in the lives of young people? Do you have a strong understanding of mental health and a desire to support students in a nurturing, specialised environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and empathetic teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have QTS and a strong interest or background in mental health. You will play a key role in creating and delivering customised lesson plans that cater to the unique needs of our students, fostering both their academic and emotional growth.

All students at the school are between the ages of 11-16 and are not able to attend mainstream school due to various reasons including exclusion.

You will be working as an internal supply teacher, working across the school supporting various groups of students. Because of this, it is essential you are comfortable delivering a varied curriculum (planning will be left for you). It would be beneficial if you have a background in providing general cover/working in a supply basis.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
