Supply Teaching Assistant - Primary Schools & SEN Support
Location: Plymouth
Pay: £85–£100 per day (depending on experience and role)
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Flexible Supply Work Available
Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting Supply Teaching Assistants to support primary and SEN schools across Plymouth.
We are looking for reliable, enthusiastic and adaptable individuals who are passionate about supporting children in their education. Opportunities are available on a flexible basis, whether you are seeking occasional work or full-time placements.
The Role:
As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils across a range of primary and specialist settings. Responsibilities may include:
• Supporting pupils in the classroom to access learning
• Working with small groups to reinforce learning and build confidence
• Providing 1:1 support for pupils who require additional assistance
• Supporting children with Special Educational Needs, including Autism, ADHD and SEMH needs
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
• Assisting teachers in creating a safe and inclusive learning environment
• Adapting to different schools, year groups and classroom settings
What We're Looking For:
• Experience working with children or young people is desirable
• Previous Teaching Assistant or SEN experience is advantageous but not essential
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A positive, patient and proactive approach
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Availability between 8:30am and 3:30pm
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
