Primary Supply Teacher

Location: Primary Schools across Durham
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Supply (Full-Time Availability Preferred)

About the Role

We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teachers to work on a supply basis across a range of primary schools in the Durham area. This role is ideal for teachers seeking full-time supply work, offering flexibility alongside the opportunity to work in diverse school settings.

Assignments may include day-to-day cover, short-term, and long-term placements, depending on school requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering engaging and effective lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Following school behaviour, safeguarding, and health & safety policies
  • Adapting quickly to different school settings and year groups
  • Assessing pupil progress and providing feedback where required
  • Ensuring continuity of learning during teacher absence

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching within UK primary schools
  • Good classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Flexible, reliable, and confident teaching approach
  • Ability to adapt to different school environments and year groups
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
