Student Wellbeing Mentor - SEN/SEMH Schools

Are you passionate about supporting young people and making a real difference in their lives?

Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting Student Wellbeing Mentors to work within SEN and SEMH schools, supporting pupils who require additional emotional, behavioural, and social support to thrive in education.

Role Details

SEN/SEMH Schools across the local area
Hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm
Pay: £14.25 - £15.00 per hour
Full-time and Part-time opportunities available

The Role

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN and SEMH needs
  • Building positive relationships and acting as a trusted adult within the school
  • Supporting students with emotional regulation, confidence, and wellbeing
  • Encouraging engagement in learning and promoting positive behaviours
  • Working closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to support student development

About You

  • Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults
  • Backgrounds in education, youth work, care, support work, coaching, or mentoring are highly desirable
  • Calm, resilient, and nurturing approach
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Passion for helping young people overcome barriers to learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
