Sports Coach Learning Support Assistant
Location: North Liverpool
Start Date: September 2026
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term Time Only (Temp-to-Perm Opportunity)
Daily Rate: £95 per day

About the Role
Teaching Personnel Liverpool are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive mainstream secondary school in the North Liverpool area. The school is seeking enthusiastic and committed Sports Coach Learning Support Assistants to join their team from September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a passion for sport, fitness, and supporting young people. The successful candidates will play a key role in both the PE department and wider classroom settings, helping students to engage, progress, and succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of Physical Education lessons and extracurricular sports activities
  • Promote student participation, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students during lessons
  • Assist in managing behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
  • Support students academically across a range of subjects when required
  • Work closely with teaching staff to monitor student progress and wellbeing

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • A strong interest in sport, fitness, or coaching
  • A proactive, energetic, and positive attitude
  • The ability to build strong relationships with students and staff
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Previous experience working in a school or with young people (preferred but not essential)

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduates and entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply
  • Sports coaching qualifications or relevant experience are desirable
  • Previous school-based experience is advantageous

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
