Sports Coach

Location: South Bristol

Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday, term time

Are you an active, sporty individual looking to make a real difference to a child's school life? We are working with a primary school in South Bristol who are looking for a dedicated 1-1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil throughout the school day. The school feels an active, sporty personality would work really well with this particular child.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for sport and physical activity who wants to help a child build confidence, focus and positive learning behaviours.

The Role:

• Providing dedicated 1-1 support to a pupil throughout the school day
• Supporting the child to access classroom learning and stay engaged with activities
• Helping with transitions, daily routines and tasks throughout the school day
• Encouraging independence, confidence and positive learning behaviours
• Supporting social skills, communication and emotional regulation
• Working closely with the class teacher to track progress
• Bringing an active, energetic approach that connects well with the child

We Are Looking For:

• Experience working with children in a school setting (essential)
• A sports coaching background or genuinely sporty, active personality would be a great asset
• A calm, patient and reassuring manner
• Strong communication and relationship building skills
• Ability to motivate and encourage children of all abilities
• Reliability, professionalism and a commitment to safeguarding
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
