Teaching Personnel are recruiting dedicated Specialist Teaching Assistants to support pupils across welcoming primary schools in the Falmouth and Redruth areas. With a growing demand for skilled support staff, we’re offering flexible opportunities that fit around your life — whether you’re seeking full‑time consistency or part‑time balance.
This is not just another supply role. This is about being placed in schools where your skills matter and your contribution is recognised.
Why This Role Is Different
As a Specialist TA through Teaching Personnel, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Work closely with pupils who need consistent, tailored support
- Build meaningful relationships and see real progress over time
- Use your SEN experience in supportive, well‑staffed school environments
- Choose work patterns that suit you — full‑time or part‑time
- Feel backed by an agency that actually listens to you
Your role will make a visible difference every single day.
About the Role
You may be supporting pupils with needs such as:
- Autism (ASC)
- SEMH
- Speech, language and communication needs
- Learning and cognitive difficulties
Your day‑to‑day support could include:
- 1:1 and small‑group intervention
- Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour
- Adapting tasks to meet individual learning needs
- Encouraging independence, confidence and engagement
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and wider support staff
No two days are the same — but every day is purposeful.
Who We’re Looking For
This role would suit someone who:
- Has experience in SEN or specialist classroom support
- Is calm, patient, resilient and child‑focused
- Can confidently support behaviour and emotional needs
- Communicates well and works collaboratively
- Is reliable, proactive and genuinely passionate about inclusive education
We welcome candidates from school‑based SEN roles, support work, care, youth work, or therapeutic backgrounds.
Why Choose Teaching Personnel?
We don’t just place you — we support you.
- £92.63 – £95 per day, paid weekly
- Flexible working to suit your lifestyle
- A dedicated local consultant (me!) who knows the schools and your preferences
- Long‑term and short‑term opportunities
- Access to free CPD training (SEN, behaviour, safeguarding & more)
