- Be confident supporting pupils with a range of additional needs.
- Demonstrate patience, resilience, and a calm approach when managing challenging situations.
- Be able to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
- Support communication, social development, and emotional wellbeing alongside academic progress.
- Be comfortable adapting activities and resources to meet individual learning needs.
- Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, following guidance from teachers and external professionals where required.
- Have a genuine commitment to supporting children to reach their full potential.
Responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-to-one and small group support within the SRB.
- Assisting pupils with personalised learning programmes.
- Supporting communication and language development.
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies.
- Encouraging independence and social interaction.
- Monitoring progress and providing feedback to teaching staff.
- Supporting pupils during classroom activities, interventions, and transitions throughout the school day.
