Are you passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to reach their full potential? Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our client schools at a secondary school in Gorton, Manchester. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide tailored support to students with a range of special educational needs.

Key information:

  • The start date for this role is as soon as possible.
  • This will be a full-time role.
  • Throughout this role, you will earn a competitive salary between £385 and £450 per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in their academic and personal development.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to create an inclusive learning environment.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students as needed.
  • Help students develop essential life skills and independence.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or special needs support are advantageous.

Vetting Requirements:

  • You will be required to provide a minimum of two employment-based references to cover a minimum of two years. You will also be required to provide references for any education-based references within the last ten years.
  • You will be required to apply for a fully enhanced child workforce DBS check to ensure that you are a suitable candidate to work with young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
